Wow... Nigerian Born Female Lawyer Emerge Spain's Presidential Candidate

Nigerian born Spanish lawyer, Helen Mukoro, has emerged the presidential candidate of an opposition party for the forthcoming election in Spain. She set a new record as the first woman and an immigrant to emerge presidential flag bearer of a political party in the country. She will be running on the platform of Union De Todos, a party she founded earlier this year.

Helen, who is also a forensic expert and author of many books, was born in Delta State and worked briefly in the Governor’s Office before she travelled to Spain in 1992. She gained prominence in Spanish politics, when she founded a political party and later became the first Nigerian-Spanish to contest for the Mayor of Denia in May this year. Although she lost the election, her popularity soared higher as several people endorsed her for the highest office in the land. Now that’s super cool. Inspirational.

Buhari buoys my hope – Former VP Atiku Abubakar

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said the first 100 days in office of President Muhammadu Buhari has reinforced his confidence, that despite the perceived slow pace, “Nigeria is on the path of progress and bright future.”

In a press statement released by his media office in Abuja on Friday, 4 September, 2015, the former Vice President noted that the first 100 days in office of President Muhammadu Buhari clearly indicated that Nigeria is witnessing a marked departure from the culture of impunity, inertia and apathy in governance. Continue..

According to Atiku, even within the first 100 days, Nigerians could clearly see real proofs that the country is already moving in the right direction, which he attributed to President Buhari’s leadership by example style.

He said the President’s body language has sent strong and unmistakable message that the era of impunity was over, and that “corruption is no longer fashionable.”

The former Vice President explained that when leaders lead by example, they could automatically inspire public confidence, which he said is a condition for the success of any government policy.

According to Atiku, the Buhari administration has so far succeeded in blocking revenue leakages and diversions, which feed corruption.
The Turaki of Adamawa, who said he was proud to be part of the change movement, said there are enough examples that President Buhari is making a difference.

He said the Boko Haram terrorists are for the first time facing a fiercer response from newly motivated armed forces, adding that the terrorists are in disarray because of the new offensive strategy adopted by the government.

The former Vice President appealed to Nigerians to show more patience with President Buhari because some major reforms might take time, but the country would ultimately be a better place.

Atiku said the level of poverty and unemployment in Nigeria is inconsistent with its oil wealth, explaining that corruption is the biggest obstacle to development.

The former Vice President said President Buhari has boosted his optimism that Nigeria would rebound again.

Too bad !! School Proprietress And Business Man Electrocuted To Death In Hotel Shower

Mrs. Ebiegberi Ejor (popularly known as nee Amungo), a 41 year old school proprietress and her male business partner have been electrocuted to death in a hotel room.

Mrs. Ejor was the proprietress of Ebilabelle Fashion House and Big Sky School and also a mother of 4  married to the former chairman of Eleme LGA, Rivers State.

According to the police report, she died on the 6th of July, 2015, inside a room at Ugalink Hotel, situated in 9/11 Odumini Lane, Road 24 Extension A, Agip Estate, Port Harcourt, Rivers State along with her business partner, Mr. Freedom Rondue Harrison, a Nigerian-born, France-based business man.

The report claims that both parties were found naked on the floor in the position of an embrace as the shower lay in-between their bodies at the entrance of the shower cubicle. An autopsy conducted at University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) by Dr. Obiorah concluded that they died of electrocution.

The family of Mrs. Ejor, the Amungo Family, is rejecting the autopsy report, claiming that both Mrs. Ejor and Mr. Harrison were murdered and their bodies planted in the hotel room, and are requesting another autopsy and fresh investigation.

#CRIME : 2 Married Men Gang Rape 13 Yr Old Girl In an Uncompleted Building

An underage girl was allegedly raped by two married men with grown up children. The two men were reported to the police and they were promptly arrested by the Mabushi police division for allegedly molesting and raping the minor in an uncompleted building in Gishiri area.

The 13-year-old girl identified as Peace Chinedu accused Mr. David Sarki, a driver and Chidi Njoku, a businessman, who also live in Gishiri, of violently raping her in an uncompleted building in the vagina and anus.

This is how Daily Trust reported it:
Peace told our reporter that her mother went out that evening to buy some items for dinner when suddenly, Mr. Chidi Njoku, a father of three came to their house with David Sarki and requested she followed them to see something.

She said that initially, she refused, but the men pressured her to follow them to where her mother was. On hearing that, she followed them, thinking that something bad had happened to her mother.
“I thought they were taking me to see my mum because that was what they told me, but instead I was taken to an uncompleted building. When I asked them why they brought me there, Mr. David slapped me and asked me to remove my clothes.

I refused, but both men tore my clothes. They pushed me down and Mr. David Sarki raped me. I cried and pleaded to Mr. Njoku who was watching, to rescue me but he also removed his trousers and raped me.”
She said that after the rape, she felt so much pain that she started begging the two men not to kill her.
They promised not to kill her if only she wouldn’t tell anybody about the incident. When she promised that she would not tell anybody, they asked her to wear her torn pants, after which they took her home.

“When my mother came home and saw me bleeding and crying, I told her what happened and she took me to the police station,” she said.

A Mabushi police source told our reporter that when the victim was brought to the station, she could not walk and was immediately taken to the hospital.
“There was blood and sperm stain on her panties with high degree of bruises in her private part.

The results of the test proved that the two men raped the accused. We instantly stormed the houses of the suspects who were all family men, but they ran away until the police received a tip-off and they were able to arrest them from their hideouts.”

When our reporter visited the police station, Mr. David Sarki agreed that he and Njoku raped the girl. He claimed that the devil pushed him to do so as his wife had denied him sex.
When the Mabushi divisional police officer, Chief Superintendent Ayobami Surajudeen was contacted, he confirmed the incident and the arrest, but said the case would be transferred to State Criminal Investigation Department

#gidigan : Meet The 57 Year Old Virgin Who Partook in The Swazi Nude Dance (Photo)

She is old enough to be their grandmother, but, at 57, Ngipheni Ngcobo fitted in well with the thousands of bare-breasted Zulu maidens who flocked to Nyokeni Palace in Nongoma for the 24th annual Zulu reed dance on Saturday.

The reed dance was introduced by King Goodwill Zwelithini in 1984 to encourage young girls to abstain from sex before marriage. Ngcobo started attending soon afterwards.

She was once in love. Nearly 20 years ago, her fiance had even paid ilobolo for her, but his infidelity left her heartbroken. She vowed never to fall in love again.

"We had been seeing each other for 10 years, but we had never had sex. When I found out he was having an affair with another man's wife, that was it for me. Maybe I would have understood if it had been just another girl, but did he have to do it with a woman who was married?"

Since then, Ngcobo, who looks a few decades younger than she is, has never been involved in a romantic relationship. Not that men don't try to win her heart.

She is just too wary of contracting HIV/Aids from a relationship.

"The problem with men is they are after one thing and when they're finished with you, they just move on. They have too much love and give it to too many women. That is why there are so many diseases. I've become strong and don't get tempted."

A school vendor by occupation, she is one of the mentors of Isimilo Samafuza, a Zulu cultural group that conducts virginity testing every month among girls whose ages range from 7 to, well, 57.

This is at odds with the recently amended Children's Act, which makes the testing of girls under 16 a criminal act.

Fashola Keeps Mum On Alleged Misappropriation Of Funds, Says I Don’t Respond To Newspaper Allegations

The immediate past Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, on Thursday refused to answer questions on the allegations of corruption levelled against him. Fashola was alleged to have spent N139m on two boreholes at the Lagos House, Ikeja, and another N78.3m for the upgrade of a personal website.

The former governor, who was the guest speaker at the 16th Bishop Mike Okonkwo Annual Lecture, urged Nigerians to ensure that they hold their leaders accountable always. The event, which was held at the Shell Hall of the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos Island, was titled, ‘The Nigerian political Class and the Citizen’s Quest for Good Governance.’

The governor said most Nigerians failed to hold their political leaders to their campaign promises after elections.

However, a mild drama unfolded during the question-and-answer session.

A journalist from The SUN, Mr. Chika Abanobi, noted that Fashola was right to urge Nigerians to hold their leaders accountable.

He, therefore, asked Fashola to respond to the allegations of corruption levelled against him which included the N78m the former governor spent on the personal website.

Some personalities at the high table, which included the host, Dr. Mike Okonkwo, who is the presiding Bishop of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, did not feel comfortable when Fashola was put on the spot as some signalled to the journalist to keep shut and sit down.

Popular comedian, Tee A, who was the Master of Ceremony, jibed, “Mr. SUN, continue standing in the Sun.”

Fashola, who was taken aback by the journalist’s audacity, responded, “To the man in The SUN, I don’t respond to allegations on the pages of newspapers.”

While delivering his lecture earlier, Fashola listed his various achievements while in government.

Specifically, he mentioned the restriction of commercial motorcycles, among others.

He said good governance did not necessarily imply impressing everyone. He said good leadership entailed improving the general standard of living of the people.

While defending his restriction on commercial motorcycles, he said, “Some people felt that we were anti-poor. But let us look at the result of the policy. The 15 deaths per month dropped first to three per month and later to one per month and later there were no reported deaths in the whole of 2014.

“The over 600 reported accidents dropped to about 100 accidents monthly (83 per cent) and the Commissioner of Police reported an 85 per cent drop in crime over a 10-month period of the enforcement of the law.

“For those who say this is not good governance, I will refer them to Section 14 (2) (b) and (c) of the 1999 Constitution.”

The former governor defended the expenses on his website, insisting that it helped make him more accessible to the people of the state.

Fashola noted that when he resumed office, only 500,000 people were paying tax across the state. He said by the time he left office, over 4.5 million people had started paying tax.

He, however, revealed that there were still over four million taxable adults in the state not paying tax.

The ex-governor said the state would be better off if people paid their taxes regularly and assist the government.

Also speaking, a former Nigerian Ambassador to the United States, Prof. George Obiozor, explained that the event was to commemorate the birthday of Okonkwo who turns 70 on Sunday.

Obiozor defended Fashola who had also come under fire for allegedly spending N139m on two boreholes.

Obiozor said, “He (Fashola) is one of those few people that God answered his prayers. I want to tell him that the game in which he is involved is called politics. Believe me, success is the beginning of threat. Nobody is after anybody who has failed.”
