“13 Year Old Boy Killed Himself And His Girlfriend Over Pregnancy (Photos)”

“ A class seven pupil from Marakwet East and his 13-year-old girlfriend killed themselves on Tuesday, January 3.

The bodies of the two teenagers were discovered on Tuesday in separate locations in the area. The body of the 14-year-old was found at his parent’s home while the girl’s was found at Kipkunur forest, Sambirir. ..


The two reportedly took poison after discovering the girl was pregnant.


 The Area Chief Benjamin Kipkemoi said the two may have decided to take poison fearing punishment from their parents.

“It is not clear whether the boy was responsible for the girls pregnancy/We are carrying out investigation,” said Kipkemoi.

 The pupils bodies were taken to Kapsowar Mission Hospital for postmortem.”
