There's No Shame In Been A Broken Man by Solomon Kolawole Falaiye

You reach the bottom of the mountain much quicker than you reach the top. In other words, it is a pretty difficult task to climb your way up the ladder of success but dame easy to fall off and find yourself back at the bottom of that very ladder. Be silent and pray. You will need it. The truth is, not too many of us make it to see the day we would be able to make a statement. So amidst the pain and life struggles, be grateful if you eventually make it through.

It is not how soon but how well as a very popular saying goes, but that doesn't necessarily mean you should sit your lazy ass down and always wait on luck to come to the rescue, because you just might run out of it sooner than you think and get knocked out by life. Success will never lower its standards to accommodate you. You have to raise your standards to achieve it. God provides food for every bird but not in their nest. Rise up to the challenges ahead of you and conquer your fears.

The fact you woke up today and your precious life hasn't been taken away from you is yet another great opportunity to become the man and woman you've always dreamed off. However, you must know that you have a lead role to play in this life's greatest adventure of rediscovering self and fulfillment of destiny. Do not ask God to guide your footsteps if you're not willing to move your feet. Success is sought for. You can't just sit down, you have to get up and act. Heaven they say help those who help themselves.

Although I know you may be scared because you're not sure of what awaits you at the other side of the line but may I remind you that courage is the commitment to begin without any guarantee of success. Choose to start a new reign over lack, disappointment, failure, impossibilities and watch God crown your effort with a golden platt. Every path we take leads to another choice and some choices could change everything. Every dame moment for the rest of our life hangs on it but I've got a choice I have to make and I suggest you do the same...

When My Pen Bleed by Solomon Kolawole Falaiye

Souls are guaranteed to be liberated when my pen bleed and this isn't a question of how I intend doing that but a matter of when he needs me to get it done. Am in sync with the creator and we can say am a voice that needs to be heard. Apparently, the world has fed us with a lot of lies and even when we know the truth, we rather choose to fall for its manipulating tongue. Now there's a little or no fight at all between right and wrong because the last time I checked, statistics of point scored has greatly tilted to the negative side and we can only but wonder how soon we would get knocked out by life.

It's crazy and highly unbelievable how we've stooped so low and allowed ourselves to be over ride by our right to our own will and are unarguably misusing the grace that has been given to us but let's not forget that no matter how big a storage tank is, if there's no power supply to pump for a refill, the tap runs out. For instance, in recent years, I've been living with an hacked school of thought that was greatly infected with the world's most dangerous virus and was left with a messed up mindset that had me heading for an emergency crash land and if not for grace, where would I be, talk more of writing this piece.

Time is too short to be wasted and you're not guaranteed the next minute, so why not use the seconds wisely. I've heard a couple stories of people dying and been restored back to life after given the privilege of having an encounter with the agent of death and a quick glance at what heaven and hell looks like but I don't need to travel that far to know that people prefer the raining season when there are light showers and that cool night breeze that curdles us to sleep to the extreme heat that the summer sun burns our beautiful skins with.

Basically, where you intend spending your holidays when you're on that permanent leave from life and your soul has been taken away from you is a matter of choice. You can decide to join the train with me this day as we take a ride through wrong and right and let's begin to retrace our steps back to our maker and make corrections where we must have missed it earlier in life. Remember, missing a call from someone we owe doesn't mean we purposely neglected it, but not putting a call through after we must have seen the missed calls when we are not restricted by the lack of airtime is what raises eye brows.

In other words, you still have a chance to make things right as long as you're still breathing. Make that call to your mother who you're so mad at and haven't spoken to in so many years. Tomorrow might be too late and you sure don't want to live the rest of your life in guilt knowing you had the chance to make things right today. And maybe you're an employer of that beautiful lady that was sacked because she refused to play along and allow herself to be harassed and molested by your ungodly hands.

Through My Life's Love Journey by Solomon Kolawole Falaiye

We all have had our fair share of the heartaches and heartbreaks and as funny as it may sound, but I’m actually glad they happened as these times have thought me  a lot about myself, people, love and life in general. No doubt love is great and as a matter of fact, it’s a wonderful feeling but the excruciating pain its ripple effect inflicts on us makes it dame easy to change that smile we once had to an upside down frown, which I believe logically explains why there’s such a thin line between love and hate. However, I am most appreciative of these moments and they are actually one of the major high notes of my journey through life but what I still find hard to explain is how something that brought so much joy can change so quickly to cause us angst and make us cry so badly.

Who am I? I am that guy, that individual, a bad boy turn good and swiftly growing to be the man he was created to be, who hasn’t just been heart broken by women he gave his heart to and loved unconditionally but has also broken a couple hearts to, so I guess that qualifies me to talk about love as I’ve been through it all; the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to the matters of the heart. Growing up as a kid, all I ever wanted was to love unconditionally and sincerely but I still can’t remember how and when I managed to loose myself, my priorities and goals as regards relationships, only to fall in love with a selfish and heartless me, who activated the beast mode in me and hurting a couple pure and innocent soul in the process and just before you castigate and bury me alive, love already did, trust me.

You know, love knows how to fight its own battles and it’s true what they say about karma fighting back and hunting us when we least expect, and that dude if he was human must have hated my guts so badly, as he had a first row seat to my life and never hesitated to pay me an uninvited visit each time I got my hands dirty after a fair game of card. Apparently, I have always had to learn the hard way and hardly got away with anything I did wrong. I have had to pay back in full and double sometimes and that basically explains my recent records of the heartaches and heartbreaks but thanks to grace, I haven’t given up on love and never will. Through my life’s love journey, I have learnt a lot about women, life, love, hate and relationships and I’ve come to understand so much as regards putting my cards plain on the table and keeping my hands clean if I don’t want that same fire I’m igniting through my lies to turn back to burn me.

Love is kind and patient and a loving heart, pure and tolerant, it makes excuses for the one it loves. However, let’s be careful not to abuse its privileges or we watch it turn back real quick and aggressively that is, just like a rattle snake whose tail has just been stepped on. The truth is, for every good heart you allowed to cry attract a million chocolate boxes to another who’s just playing with yours and anticipating the day to say goodbye. Life is a bitch, isn’t it, but so are your words if they don’t percolate with the truth. The way you lay your bed, so you’ll lie in it. If you give me lemons, I’ll bring some vodka and we can mix it up and start a party, that’s what love is meant to be about; helping and complementing each other. You can’t leave others in the dark and expect to be shown the light. If you throw jabs at me, you can be rest assured that there’s someone out there heading your way with a knockout punch.  Whatever you sow is what you reap, period...Finish Reading Article

True African Beauty by Solomon Kolawole Falaiye

Our women are swiftly beginning to forget their moral value and standards and would rather prefer dis-engaging themselves rather than embracing their cultural heritage, the type our mothers were proud of. Do we really need to be reminded how beautiful we are? And the truth is, I just don't get this bum snapping pose they strike each time there's an upload on our social media platforms, Instagram must be really popular for creating such a platform for our women to showcase their talent.. smh!

It's funny how we've adopted the lifestyle and fashion ethics of the western world and have totally turned our backs to our very own. This and many more raises eye brows in the society and today issues are been raised of indecent dressing although I've never been a subscriber of such criticism because I believe fashion evolves and we shouldn't be left behind. However, that doesn't necessarily mean we should walk around the streets naked and provocatively, so let's not misunderstand each other because I hate to be the catalyst of immorality.

Well, like I said earlier, there's nothing wrong in wanting to be a part of the trend but we are beginning to concentrate more on the outside, forgetting true beauty is within and that's a school of thought I wouldn't purchase an handout for. I understand every woman wants to cause a malfunction to the masculine brain at the traffic junction, but while at it, let's not forget you're the daughter of a respected man and a future wife to another.

Yea, no doubt, we're in the jet age unlike our mothers who lived in the era where 20 yards of attire was needed to sow a Tan top but still, let's not be fooled into loosing our values. Wake up every morning reminding yourself how beautiful you are and how planet earth is privileged to have you walking through it. You were uniquely and wonderfully made and no make up kit can make you beautiful, it only enhances the perfect work already done at your birth...

Horrible Bosses by Solomon Kolawole Falaiye

It’s been a while I blessed these pages and that’s simply because I had to take some time out to retreat, guess God needed to take me through some experiences that I believe would set me off in motion for this year’s project and I can only hope I gained all that I needed to, at every step of the way and pray my pen fulfills the purpose for every inspiration that sets my hands in motion. The past two months have been quite fulfilling considering the fact that I met a couple of interesting individuals who opened my eyes to so many things, thus making me understand life better and appreciating mine even more.

The truth is, life is full of vultures and vampires who do not need to seek any sort of permission from you to get fed on. The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer, that’s just the basic formula of life, unless you get up and push the reset button.  No one wants you to make it, especially the rich, they rather want you to stay poor and have you serve them forever.  But then, of course, that doesn’t mean there are not some wonderful exceptions of those who would give their last penny and connection to see that you have a life.

Ever seen how some of the rich treats their employees, especially the ones working close to them, forgetting that God at that moment has placed their life in their hands and the cook for instance can decide to add a couple expired baked beans to the meal and have them purge their heart out or the driver who can decide to do a hundred and sixty on the highway, giving the car wings to fly off the bridge into the ocean, knowing fully well that he can swim his way out of been a part of the intending tragedy just to mention a few.

Your workers are not your slaves. They are only there to serve you so that they will someday grow to be served as well. You can’t afford to keep treating them like a piece of trash, they take the trash out of your lives so that you don’t stink so bad, so why not appreciate them instead. I heard a story from the driver of a senior colleague of mine of how an employer visited the home of his employee when his wife gave birth and the moment he stepped into the house, he asked him if he lived with his uncle.  Funny right, what must he have been thinking, is it that he couldn’t afford or maybe it’s that he doesn’t deserve to have such a pleasant life and expected to see him live and feed with pigs...

Stay Motivated... Be Positive by Solomon Kolawole Falaiye

No matter what setbacks you may encounter, continually stay motivated to the best of your ability. Don't back away from what's right because it's hard. My father use to say plant your feet and stand firm, the only question's where to put your feet, and l admonish we allow our dreams, our purpose and the ever burning desire in us that can't seem to stay still until its goals are achieved to help find that balance.

Without hard work, nothing grows but weeds, so make yourself some comfort out of your best advice. Real power comes not from hate but from truth and it's time you empty that heart of grief and fill it with courage. Life has no remote, get up and change it yourself. The best I can do is show you the path to the stream but I can't force you to fetch water. And what good is it when I put my hands to work and you disregard everything the pen says?.

My goal is to make you better, that's my reward. Until every man is safe, we are all slaves. And if I may ask, what's your contribution to the emancipation of mental slavery?. History prefers legends to men, it prefers nobility to brutality, soaring speeches to quiet deeds. However, what would you be remembered for when history comes calling?.

Never try to spoil someone's life with a lie when yours can be ruined with the truth. Don't let your demons take you to hell, introduce them to heaven. Wheel the unborn stone and end the reign of darkness before it begins. You can reach out to someone today and help paint a new meaning to the life they live rather than those negative energy you carry around.

The fear of offending is stronger than the fear of pain, but they always come willing. There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man, true nobility is being superior to your former self. Kind words can be simple and easy to speak but their echoes are truly endless. Why not associate your life with a little more "Positives", there's more reward in making people smile than making them cry.

Life is beautiful, so live each day appreciating the moment being the best you can. Remember you were created to fulfill God's purpose for humanity and when you choose to abandon your duties, you're only calling for a replacement. And if you feel you're so important, why not stick your finger into a bucket of water, pull it out and see how fast that hole fills up. Everyone is replaceable, including me...

I Curse The Day We Met by Solomon Kolawole Falaiye

God has created us wonderfully and yet so beautifully but many sadly have decided to recreate themselves to be cruel and heartless all in the name of wanting to acquire material things that are bound to leave just as fast as they came. It is just sad how we chase after riches, selling our soul to the devil in exchange of a mirage that seems to be there but really isn’t. And the truth is, nothing without God grows to stand the test of time and the only thing that grows without hard work are weeds. You can’t grow to become a millionaire overnight and expect to awake the reality of it in the morning without severe future consequences. Trust me, those that actually became true millionaires overnight must have put in countless hours of hard work over the days, weeks, months and even years and the good Lord decided to finally bless and crown their effort, making a testimony out of it.

You know, they didn’t just get their riches duping someone or from a wardrobe that spits out money like a rapper spitting out rhymes. And by the way, you should journey through the pages of our favorite music acts among many others and see how rough they must have had it making a penny from a craft they know so well and are dedicated to and then you’ll realize that making a dine isn’t ‘beans’ and yet some plant the seed, water it, have it harvested and even fry some plantain to go with it all overnight.  What is happening to the youth of our generation? Back in the days, our fathers could count the number of people getting their hands dirty and were so in a haste to make money but these days we can hardly single out a youth living right and not getting his hands dirty, all for the love of money, women and fame just to mention a selected few.

Lamentably, I turn to the pages of the dailies while surfing through my favorite blogs and all I can see are failed parents and I wonder how things got this bad.  Apparently, they’ve worked so hard to breed a bloodsucking generation and you can find on my pages for the first time, a scenario where hard work isn’t awarded for, because they obviously failed us regards. However, all blames shouldn’t be directed to them because I’m sure they put in work over the years and did their own honest bit to raise heavenly children but they refused to yield to their teachings. Moreover, there’s a popular Yoruba adage that says that one should rebirth oneself even after birth and guess what that is simply trying to say is that you should re-enroll yourself back in self-schooling even after graduating from the school of parenting and that I’ll like to call the school of life that totally gets you prepared, guaranteeing you to walk on the right path so you don’t fall off the wrong side.

In other words, there’s no excuse for failure, you’re the only one worth been blamed for your circumstances and I pray it isn’t too late before you start seeing all that you love and chase about so lustfully are just vanity upon vanity that the devils digs your grave with and he sure doesn’t need your permission as you already lost every right and bargaining power the day you crawled to him just like the snake that you are living among men.

And unfortunately and maybe fortunately for me, I seem to have a couple friends or better still, use to have a couple friends walking this lane as I recently just denounced the last one of them and if not for the God in me, it will be right to say I curse the day we met but then of course, who am I to blame?

The truth is that we all make mistakes and I’ve made mine and we can still make amends by deciding to retrace our steps and live right as long as we are still breathing. No doubt, money is good and we all want it but know without a doubt that there’s a problem the moment the hunger is more than a three square meal can quench and I admonish you run to God; the ultimate doctor to cleanse and heal your soul that very minute so you don’t lose it running after earthly pleasure that amounts to nothing but regrets and pain eventually.

Deplorably, many have used their children, parent and other loved ones for rituals all to drive the latest wipes in town and many of which have ended up losing their lives changing gears doing a hundred and eighty on the third mainland, cruising in the same automobile that drove them to the devil in the first place but now living the reality of it.

Ostensibly, you can’t eat your cake and have it, it’s either you choose life or death and while you’re at it, be sure to know that there’s an extension to that in the afterlife...
