The governor promise the traders that the Sokoto govt will modernize its markets to end incessant fire outbreaks.

The fire, according to eye witness account started at about 10:20pm Saturday night and lasted till about 1:30am Sunday. Assorted building materials such as ceilings, nails, woods, paints jars, among others believed to be worth hundreds of million of naira were destroyed by the fire at the market on Saturday night.
