10 #Simple #Qualities That Can Help You #Achieve #Professional #Success and #Satisfaction in #Life

image
Don't just think big, Act Big

This could probably be "BS" for most of you, but some can relate to this article.
To attain these goals and to achieve great satisfaction in your life and career, consider working to incorporate within yourself these 10 simple qualities:
1. Be authentic.
Be yourself. Let the results of your life reflect your readiness to express your personal freedoms. Take care to exercise your own ideas, your free will and independence. Live from your individual uniqueness and the willingness to be different from others. Your authenticity is that place within you that is true and secure enough to withstand the destructive external negative pressures that often come from life and business.
When you are true to yourself and passionate about your life, you choose to see choice rather than challenge. Your true essence is not set up on false pretenses because whatever paths you choose in life, personal and professional, are completely congruent with who you are.
2. Be truthful.
There is nothing of greater significance to offer your life or business than honesty. To understand why being truthful is important, question how anyone, including yourself, ever benefits from dishonesty. The one thing you cannot afford to lose is your reputation. Once that is lost, due to dishonesty, it may be impossible to recover.
Living from the truth allows you to build relationships based in trust between you and your loved ones, colleagues, competitors, staff and customers. Those around you become energized by your honesty, compelling them to progress in their business and personal relationship with you going forward.
3. Challenge yourself.
In order to make the most of your life and career, challenge yourself. You cannot fulfill even a fraction of your dreams by sticking to the comfortable and secure. Where there is security. there is nothing forcing you to rise to the occasion of maximizing your potential. Challenge yourself to always pursue those goals that will stretch you. You have to have that “thing” that makes you set out to achieve those goals -- that elusive “thing” which propels you to engage in life in ways that you wouldn't if you remained secure and comfortable.
The more you challenge yourself and flourish, the greater your confidence becomes to challenge yourself yet again. Challenges not only help you grow in skill and knowledge, they help you develop your belief in your capacity.
4. Put love first.
The most significant people in your life are those who genuinely feel for and worry about you. These are the individuals who will always be there to fall back on when you have been disappointed by the world. The people who love and accept you, despite your mistakes and weaknesses, and do not need you to be different are those who bring the most value to your world. They help refuel your belief in yourself when you cannot.
There is no amount of financial gain that could substitute for the love these individuals offer you. They bring a sense of connectedness and belonging which serves to make your life happier and more fulfilling. Those who do not value their loved ones are less well-rounded, less happy and less motivated and successful in life. Do not let this be you.
5. Be thoughtful.
Treat all of those you interact with, with a sense of dignity and value. When you can make another person feel significant, he or she will be motivated to maintain that feeling. Being thoughtful of others does not make you a pushover. Thoughtfulness is that high-level quality of being emotionally intelligent in all your exchanges. When you treat others with openness and respect, you have a calm power to stay rational and present in your communications.
Keep in mind that anger is never useful in relationships, personal or professional, as it is nearly impossible to respect an angry person. Anger doesn’t wear intelligently on anyone.
6. Be a good human being.
Be mindful of others in the ways you expect others to be mindful of you. Practice tolerance and acceptance to bring a sense of peace to your life and world at large. Let go of small-mindedness, bigotry, the belittling of others and self-righteousness.
Tolerance is an essential quality to possess. Think about who you are in the global world, or in the wholeness of life, and what you want your personal impact to be. Strive to be that bigger person. Be open-minded to learning from all types of people and their differing beliefs, as you never know what type of person holds your next biggest opportunity in his or her hands.
7. Practice patience.
Knowing the difference between patience and waiting is key to a successful life and career. Patience is not about waiting. Waiting is action-less. When you practice patience, you never stop working toward your dreams even when you do not yet see results. If you are "waiting" without working, you have stopped. When you are passionate, there is no limit to the the amount of work you will do if you see it as bringing you closer to your goals.
Patience means believing enough in what you have set out to achieve to keep going.
8. Live your dreams.
Do not just follow your dreams, live them. Make each wish a manifested destiny. Work to make your dreams reality, with consistency, precision and commitment. Living your dreams is the stuff a well-lived life is made of. What you pursue passionately will bring you a life full of vitality, excitement and the joy that you deserve.
Your dreams and passions bring deeper meaning to your life and to the lives of others. When you live your dreams, you become inspiring. You instill in others the belief that if it is possible for you, then it can also be possible for them.
9. Have a grateful heart.
When you have a grateful heart, your positive emotions become stronger, decreasing the negative emotional experiences of envy, victimization and jealousy. Gratitude makes your memories more positive and is a great catalyst in helping you to bounce back quickly from stress.
Gratitude helps you achieve life and career goals, making both your personal and professional lives more loving, productive and enjoyable places to be for you and everyone you touch.
10. Remain humble.
Commit to working quietly and allowing your success to do the talking. Humility is based in internal reflection. Yet, when it comes to choosing where to focus your time and energy, it is all about other people for you. In being humble, you are not being self-centered, or worrying about your image; you have the courage to risk and try new things. You are not compelled to try to be perfect, because you are not stuck on expectations. This frees you from the paralysis of fearing failure as your main concern.
When you are humble, you approach life with openness and flexibility. You are not afflicted by the search for happiness or success for yourself alone, because your main focus is not about trying to be either successful or happy. Instead, you are caught up in projects, passions, people and things you consider bigger and more important than yourself, and from this you end up with more happiness and success, as a simple byproduct.
The surest path to becoming happy and successful in life is in helping others to achieve the happiness and success they desire.
To experience happiness and that deep sense of well-being and satisfaction with who you are, what you are doing and who you still desire to become, you must contemplate daily what it means to be authentic. You must be committed and deliberate in your search to challenge yourself, to face fears, to be good to others and to be the conscious creator of the wholeness of your overall life experience.
That's it folks, ponder on that and don't just read up, live up ðŸ˜€ have a nice weekend and success in your exams. #DreamBig

“I Would Abstain From S*x Till I’m Married” Says David Luiz

image
Baptised into the Pentecostal Hillsong Church on Friday May 15, David Luiz  made a claim which I'll say is more of a shocking surprise statement than an actual Vow, to me and for the modern world as well I suppose. The 28-year-old player of Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) vowed to abstain from s*x until marriage.
For those of you who have shut yourselves out indefinitely from the "football world", David Luiz Moreira Marinho (born 22 April 1987), is a Brazilian professional footballer who formally played for Chelsea and is currently at a French club known as Paris Saint-Germain(PSG). He joined Chelsea in January 2011, winning the Champions League and the FA Cup in the following season. In June 2014 he transferred from Chelsea to Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of £50 million (€62 million), a world record transfer for a defender.

David Luiz is a devout Christian and has named Kaká as his role model, who  apparently was a virgin till he married Caroline Celico in December 2005 at the age of 23. He promised to keep his virginity until he ties the knot with girlfriend Sara Madeira, after being baptised into the Pentecostal Hillsong Church last week. He explained: “I have chosen to wait.” Luiz was baptised in the swimming pool of PSG teammate Maxwell on Friday and he further took to Instagram to devote his life to God;
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
“My life is yours, and I am your servant! You’re always in the center of all my decisions! I love my God! Amen.”
Mirror.co.uk recalls that Kaka, the former AC Milan attacker, shared a similar position as he disclosed in one of the interviews:
“The majority of people say that after marriage, they don’t like jumping into bed with their partner because there is no desire. However, this is not true, my wife is the person I love and it was worth waiting".

Finally Ladies Can Urinate Standing Thanks To (Go Girl)

image
This is actually hilarious to me, Cuz I'll say I think the ladies are rather bored of how they always look like they're about to take a damn when they mean to urinate and are more interested in how we men do the awesome stand to pee thing. I had to share this insane innovation because It's funny but helpful to our Women/ladies.
"The Go-girl is a female urinating device (sometimes called a FUD) that allows you to pee while standing up. It's neat. It's discreet. It's hygienic" says the Go-girl support website. They went further to outline how to use this amazing device by saying; "GoGirl is easy to use. Just hold GoGirl against your body, forming a seal. Aim and, well, pee. Pretty simple, huh?"

Woman With Eating Disorder

A southern California woman suffering from a severe form of anorexia nervosa is publicly pleading for help now that her weight has spiraled out of control.

Rachael Farrokh, who is five-foot-seven and weighs just “40-something pounds” and has battled anorexia for 10 years. The 37-year-old actress posted a video to YouTube, detailing her ordeal and asking for financial donations to help her get the treatment she desperately needs.

“I need your help,” she says in the video. “I’m suffering from an eating disorder. It’s a very severe kind of anorexia.” Farrokh says hospitals in her area have refused to treat her because her weight makes her a “liability.”

Her husband Rod Edmondson quit his job as a personal trainer to be her 24-hour caregiver, she continued, and she’s currently unable to walk on her own.

How did things get so bad? “I wanted to drop a few pounds to get better abs,” she said. But when she lost her job and kept focusing on a painful memory from her past, things “spiraled out of control.”

Farrokh says there’s one hospital across the country that can help her, adding “my chances are very slim.”

“I’m not one to ever ask for help,” she says. “I need your help, otherwise I don’t have a shot. And I’m ready to get better.”

According to the National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders, anorexia nervosa has the highest mortality rate of any psychiatric disorder, and only one in 10 people who suffer from an eating disorder receive treatment.
ABC News reports that Farrokh went from 125 pounds to her current bare-bones weight. But how can this happen? Didn’t other people notice and step in to help?
Unfortunately such shocking weight loss is not uncommon with eating disorders, says Samantha DeCaro, PsyD, assistant clinical director at eating disorder treatment facility The Renfrew Center.
She says that people suffering from an eating disorder often hide their early weight loss by pulling away from friends and family and lying about their eating habits. “There’s a lot of secrecy and shame, and they don’t really believe it’s a problem,” DeCaro tells Yahoo Health.

How To Deal With A Flirtatious Partner

Flirting might be a virtue for the single but is definitely undesirable for those who are committed.

Some believe it’s fun, a social and healthy behaviour but it has the potential to ruin a relationship.

Flirting today might invariably result in an affair tomorrow and you don’t want to incur heartache over that. This causes all kinds of discomfort, even in a relationship where there is much trust.

When your partner begins to show interest in another person, tries to make the person smile, always love being around the person, giving complements, paying attention and giving comments on things pertaining to the person, s/he is flirting.

It’s in our nature, we all want to be wanted and needed and pulling out isn’t the solution but deducing a means to deal with your partner.

There are lot of ways to flirt, several writers have given several opinions based on their perspective.

This article isn’t meant for those who think they know what flirting is and way out of it.
It’s for people who are helpless in dealing with their flirtatious partner and long for a way out.

The best way to avoid letting a goat into your house is to avoid leaving the door opened.
Flirting is never harmless; it has the potential to ruin your relationship.

After a lady found out her lover[Partner] flirts, she wrote a letter telling him how much she loved him, and that she hoped for a strong relationship, a relationship that is transparent, and she threatened to leave him if the response is not favourable.

I heard of a couple who had to separate because the husband could no longer cope with his wife's flirting attitude.

Just in case you are wondering, these are real life examples. I could go on with many more but am going to concentrate on how to deal with issues on flirting and not on the problem.

What is the core of your relationship [union] if you and your partner do not understand each other?, the change in attraction and connection baffles me mostly. Why would I divert my emotions from someone have been conglutinated with to a friend or a stranger?
I would have love to start with defining what flirting is, ways to flirt, How to know if your partner flirts or not. But let’s focus on how to deal with your flirtatious partner

There are lot of ways to deal with a flirtatious partner but am just going to relate the basic two factors that connect them together in this article.

1} UNDERSTANDING YOUR PARTNER
2} COMMUNICATION

    UNDERSTANDING YOUR PARTNER

Lots of people seem to look far away for solutions not knowing that the solution is so close than ever imagined.

I have a partner we’ve been together for months, years, we really do love each other, and all of a sudden I discovered all those warmth smile and happiness evades and the best I can do is to cede the relationship. My response is NO.

All I need to do is find out, why the sudden change in behaviour, perhaps I have not been giving my partner enough attention.
Try supporting your partner more and flirt with your partner. Try seeing them in a new way day by day.

If you find your partner flirting with another person, you would approach your partner with hug, kiss on the cheek , putting your arm around your partner, giving your partner a big smile, distracting your partner from other people.
If your partner is getting good attention, respect and attractiveness from you, your partner should not need to seek it elsewhere.

Hey! I have a partner who flirts because of my refusal to have s*x. What should I do? Should I get his/her attention by yielding to the request?

Giving your partner attention doesn’t mean you should allow your partner to have s*x with you.
Don’t have a misconception of the word “ATTENTION” .Even if you allow your partner, that won’t stop your partner from flirting.

This happened to a close brother of mine, he and his partner love each other but this lady couldn’t stop flirting, this isn’t being friendly.
She flirts because she gets more cash from other guys. This close brother thought the best way to get her attention was to spend …am not against the move, it’s quite good but this guy went to the extent of spending his school fees.
This actually caused him an extra semester and the painful aspect is that the lady finally left him.
Be wise with your decision , you have to pay a price indeed but not to your own detriment like the case discussed above.

      COMMUNICATION

This is the key aspect of dealing with your partner. Politely ask your partner why he/she is flirting.
Try as possible to avoid being accusatory or inimical if possible, but let your partner know that you are not pleased with the situation.
Let your partner know you are not comfortable with it, approaching him/her with frankness.

Make sure you weren’t accusing your partner of been unfaithful or cheating, and be crystal clear your partner understands you.
Ask your partner how he/she would feel if you seemed uninterested in him/her, and start hitting on all the single ladies/guys.
If the response is favorable , then embrace your partners heart of honesty and work on how to help him/her to stop flirting. And if the response is not favorable, you just threaten to pull out.

Sometimes trying to fix or change someone isn’t the right way. It’s better to find the one that is right and not waste time with the wrong one.

Am going to end this article with a story which might really be of help.

There is this man called Dave who got married to a young , vibrant female lawyer.

This guy happens to come from a rich home , his father happens to be the ratified candidate for a political post in his party .
This guy took over the companies of his father.
He never allowed his wife to get socialized, he turned his wife to a full housewife. Her responsibility is to take care of the house, make provisions of all what her husband needs, he doesn’t take stale foods. So this lady had to wake up as early as 3:00am to prepare her husband’s breakfast …and with all effort to satisfy her husband even on bed, she gets mistreated.

All marriage is to her is endurance and bondage, she longed so much for joy in her marriage and she made up her mind to fight for it.
She approached a female lawyer and ended up settling for a divorce.

She presented the divorce letter to her husband. They got divorced but there was an agreement that she can’t leave and the news of the divorce wouldn’t get leaked out just for the sake of her "inlaw's" political ambition.

But she is free to do anything and been relieved of her responsibilities as a wife.
The husband couldn’t cope because for the three years they spent together, he hasn’t tasted any other person’s food. So his mother had to bring in a maid whose duty is just to prepare his meals.
He did all he could to persuade his divorced wife to teach the maid how to cook, but she refused.

She started coming home late, going out with a man. The husband as well brought a lady he flirts with even before he divorced his wife.

This is known to the divorced wife but she doesn’t care, her mission was to bring back the joy of her matrimonial home.

She went to the extent of using dildo and start making several s*xual
sounds in her room, this was known to her divorced husband though she didn’t use the device, she just had to pretend she was using it.

The husband had to sneak into her room and stole the device because he couldn’t bear it any longer.
He went to the lawyer to seek for advice making known his intention that he doesn’t want divorce.

The female lawyer arranged a meeting with both parties and the wife made her intention known that she wants the love and the joy of the marriage and not to be a bad woman, and the husband promised to give her. He started giving her much attention and both began to enjoy their marriage.

This is the most important aspect of this story.

The husband lately found out that the man her wife had been seeing lately happened to be the husband of the lawyer. All was a planned work and it worked out.

Let your partner know you are being hurt with the situation {flirting}, threaten to leave with wisdom like the case discussed above.

The outcome is in two phases; it’s either your partner fix things up and adhere to you or your partner shows no sign or change and at this point you are advised to move on and wait for the right partner to come your way.

Flirting is good, when it’s done with the right person.

Stay away from politics, Kukah tells generals

The Catholic Archbishop of Sokoto Diocese, Rev Father Hassan Kukah, has urged serving and retired military generals to stay away from the politics of the country.
Kukah said the military had taken away several years of the nation’s democracy since its inception in 1999 and should allow civilians to grow the country’s democracy.
The cleric made the comment while speaking as the Chairman on the occasion of the formal presentation of a biography on the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh, entitled Destiny Calling My Name, in Abuja on Friday.

He said the nation had already had two retired generals as Presidents in the persons of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and now Muhammadu Buhari, who is the President-elect.
Kukah acknowledged the fact that the nation’s democracy had made tremendous progress in the past years.
He said, “You know that the military has already taken away most of our years in this democracy, and as you have seen, they are still not yet through with us.
“After General Olusegun Obasanjo and General Muhammadu Buhari, how many more generals do you want to have as Presidents? Will civilians grow this democracy or will it be the duty of soldiers?
“My people, we must make progress and our democracy will grow. This is not anti-military rally but please soldiers, retired and serving, give us civilians the chance to rule.
“Let those soldiers, who have retired, enjoy the benefit of their retirement and let the soldiers, who are serving, remain in the military and do very well what they set out to do when they joined the military.
“Secondly, I believe that most Nigerians must be very pleased that when it mattered, our military displayed a high sense of responsibility.”
He commended President Goodluck Jonathan for the courage to accept defeat in the last election to put to rest speculations that he had put some options in place as a strategy in the event that the PDP lost the election.
He also commended the Badeh for assuring Nigerians of the standard of professionalism and democratic credentials of the military.
The Guest of Honour, Prof. Jerry Gana, commended Jonathan for his political maturity in the last election, which he said saved the country from avoidable crisis.
He said there would have been crisis in the country if not for the move by the President to accept defeat in the election.
